title: Isadore client guide: start here description: Find safe, practical instructions for managing an existing Isadore website, from editing pages and images to reviewing changes and submissions.
Start managing your existing website
Find the instructions you need to manage an existing website. Your agency gives you access to the correct site and confirms whether you are editing Development or Live.
Before you start
Your agency must give your account access to the correct site and confirm whether you are editing Development or Live. The site selector identifies the website, not the environment.
Choose your next step
- New to Isadore? Follow Your first safe edit.
- Need access? Read Access and signing in.
- Need to find your website? Read Choose a site and find your way around.
- For everyday updates, choose a task below.
Edit an existing page

Change a page image

Result: You have a route to the relevant task without needing to change site setup.
Four different actions: not four names for publishing
| Action | What it means |
|---|---|
| Save | Stores changes in the environment you are signed into. Saving in Live can change the public website; saving in Development does not transfer changes to Live. Some tools, including Menu Builder, save automatically. |
| Page Enabled | Controls whether that page is available in that environment. It is not a draft or publication approval switch. |
| Blog Status | Draft, Scheduled, Published, or Expired controls a post's availability, together with its dates, in that environment. |
| Development-to-Live publication | Your agency's separate process for making reviewed Development content available on Live. |
For the AI workflow in this guide, use the agency-confirmed Development editor. Approve & save to Development applies a proposal there; it is not a request to publish Live.
Access and optional tools
Client owners and client members manage sites assigned to them. A client owner can also manage their business's users and may see Team. Members do not receive those owner privileges. Custom permissions can change the tools you see.
Blogs, WebApps, forms, and CRM instructions apply only when your site uses them. You may see more advanced site tools than this guide covers.
Ask your agency before changing site setup, templates, layouts, shared components, or email configuration. Agency-wide administration and publication are not client tasks.
Caution: Stop before making changes if you do not know which environment you are editing. Never assume an unsaved-changes warning or a publication review protects every tool.
