Change a page image
Replace an image intentionally without overwriting unrelated website assets.
You need
Page and image or file access, permission to use the new picture, and an agency-approved editable image area.
Steps
Confirm the site and environment
Open CMS → Pages, find the page, and select its name.
Select the editable image
In Visual Editor, select the image and use Change Image when its image action is available. If you cannot select it, ask your agency whether the image is a background or shared image.
Choose or upload an image
In the picker, browse folders or use Search all files by name…. Choose the existing approved image. Use Upload Image only for a new public website image.
Apply the image
Select the required image thumbnail. The picker applies the choice to the editing area, but you still need to save the page.
Save and check the page
Select Save, wait for the success message, then check Site Preview at Desktop and Mobile.
Expected result: The selected page image changes in the environment you are editing.
The Hero Image field
Use the Hero Image field only on pages your agency confirms use this control.
Open the Hero Image field
Open Details → Hero Image → Select Image +.
Select and save the hero image
Choose the image in Select Hero Image, then select Save Page.
Check the rendered hero
Check the actual rendered hero in Site Preview. The field's thumbnail alone does not prove that every page design uses that image.
Hero Image is not a universal replacement control for every banner or background. Clear removes its selected value, so do not use it accidentally.
Choose suitable files
Use a wide picture for a wide banner. Check mobile cropping, readable text over the image, and whether the main subject is cut off.
Use descriptive alt text where the editing tool provides an alt-text field. A blog's Image Alt Text belongs to its featured image.
Cautions: Uploading through the picker makes a website asset, not a private AI reference. Prefer a new, clearly named file and select it deliberately. Replacing an existing file can affect every place using that file. Do not delete the old image until your agency confirms it is no longer used. Do not alter unfamiliar image attributes or source code to force a replacement.
