Use the AI Website Editor

Ask the AI Website Editor for a focused website change, review the proposed result, and decide whether to apply it to Development.

You need

  • Page access and AI access in Isadore CMS.
  • An available usage allowance.
  • The Development editing link confirmed by your agency.

Do not use this workflow in an unconfirmed environment, even if the button mentions Development.

Steps

Open the AI Website Editor

Select AI Website Editor. Check that the editor shows Editing [site name] for the site you intend to update.

Choose the page

Choose the intended page from the page selector. The selector shows each page's name and address, so confirm that you selected the correct page before continuing.

Start or open a conversation

Select New conversation, or open an existing conversation that is relevant to the change you want to request.

Write a precise request

Write what should change and what must stay the same. Include the page area, the desired result, and any content, links, images, headings, styles, or factual claims that the AI must preserve.

Add reference files when needed

Optionally select the paperclip button, then choose Choose reference files. Remove an unwanted attachment with its remove control before sending the request.

Send the request

Select Send message. Pressing Enter also sends the message, while Shift+Enter adds a new line. Wait for the AI to return its response and proposed change.

Review the proposed change

Read each Proposed change, including its target, summary, validation message, and Before and After information. These panels can contain technical text. Ask the AI to explain anything you do not understand, or ask your agency for help if you cannot confidently judge the result.

Reject or approve the proposal

Choose Reject if the proposal is wrong. If the proposal is correct and you are working in the confirmed Development environment, choose Approve & save to Development. Wait for the confirmation before checking the changed page in Site Preview.

Send the result for publication

Check the changed page in Site Preview, then send the result to your agency for publication. Approval updates Development in this workflow, but it does not publish the change to Live.

An approved proposal updates Development in this workflow. Rejecting a proposal does not apply the proposed change. Generating a proposal is not the same as approving it.

Useful prompts

  • “On the About page, shorten the introduction to 80 words. Keep all factual claims, headings, links and images unchanged.”
  • “Change only the main button text on the Contact page to ‘Request a callback’. Keep its destination and design unchanged.”
  • “Explain a clearer headline for this page. Do not add prices, guarantees or claims we have not supplied.”

References and usage

Reference attachments are private to the owning conversation. They are not automatic File Manager uploads or public website assets. Do not attach passwords, personal enquiries, or documents you are not authorized to share. A reference image is not authorization to publish its original file.

Supported references include PDF, DOCX, TXT, MD, images, CSV, XLSX, and text-based HTML, CSS, JS, and JSON files. The editor limits each request to 5 files, with a maximum of 10 MB per file and 25 MB total. Include an instruction with the attachments so the AI knows how to use them.

AI credits are shared at the site level, not assigned as a personal guaranteed allocation. Read the current credit panel because allowances can vary. Separate rolling daily token and hourly request limits can block requests even when monthly credits remain. Ask your agency about access or limits. This guide does not promise an allowance, price, or reset time.

Validation is not a factual or visual guarantee. If another edit makes a proposal out of date, request a fresh proposal instead of forcing the old one. Never approve a change you do not understand.
